Believe it or not,
there really is/was an organization known as the FLUD Club. "FLUD" is an
acronym which stands for Fellow Laborers Under Dave. It was located at
Gary Works. I learned of it in 2007, by stumbling upon the above item, an
ashtray, while doing a search on ebay® using the term "Gary Steel Works." I now own the ashtray. What they did, or what they were about, I haven't a clue. If anyone does know, please enlighten me.
At any rate, if you
recognize any of the items depicted below, you qualify for, and now hold, honorary membership in the FLUD Club!
